Ran across an old 2008 price list the other day, and guess what? Our wine kits, equipment and essences have not gone up in price! This is largely due to the strong Canadian dollar as all our wine kits come from 9 different countries around the world.
The only increase in price was on the beer kits. The price increase on beer kits is due to a prolonged drought in Australia and crop conditions in Canada which led to less malting quality barley. Of course, large breweries got first crack at available barley leaving little for home making supplies.
