Yes, it’s been 28 years this February. A lot has changed over the years, especially the quality and variety of wine and beermaking products.
When we started there were no wine kits, just concentrate in a 3 litre can! Most juices came from Spain. Today, kits are made from grapes from all over the world: California, Canada, Chili, Argentina, South Africa, Australia, France, Germany, Spain, Italy…
Our storefront is small. However, we have a large warehouse which effectively makes the front a showroom as 80-90% of our stock is in the back which is cooler.
We’ve been able to serve Winnipeg wine makers all these years for a couple reasons:
1. We price all our products as fairly as possible.
2. We don’t hide behind gimicks to lure people in.
3. We have been publishing our prices online for a while now, and that means every item we sell is listed with our price. As far as we know, we are the only hobby wine making shop to do this in Manitoba!
