Presenting one blog per week for 200 weeks can be a challenge, as in run out of ideas. So, once in a while we will publish a map of grape producing areas around the world. The first map is a colored map from grape producing areas of France. We will indicate the type of grape in most areas along with the equivalent wine types produced.

Notable Regions:

Champagne: Of course known for its nameshake, but also Chablis and Chardonnays.

Bordeaux: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec to name a few!

Bourgogne: Burgundy reds such as Pinot Noir and Gamay, also Chardonnays and Sauvignon Blancs.

Vallee du Rhone, Languedoc and Provence produce Burgundy wines, but tend to have smaller vineyards featuring specialty wines (been there!).
