We all know about single grape kits (ex: Merlot), 2 grape blends (ex: Cabernet Shiraz) and even triple blended kits (ex: Trilogy is Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot).

But now, Cellar Craft has come out with a quadruple blend in its 18L format – the new Mystic. It is composed of a combination of Zinfandel, Shiraz, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. To early to tell more, being just released, but our experience with Vineco is that all new products are made, tested and tasted before release.

This is about the issue of U-Vins (Brew on Premise) where a client purchases a wine kit and mixes it on site, leaving the establishment to take care of it while it goes through the processes of fermenation, transfering and clearing. This type of service is well used by those short on space at home and those physically unable, amongst other groups.

This is common practice in 8 Canadian provinces and 2 Territories. Exceptions: Manitoba and Alberta, where the practice is not yet permitted and dinosaurs roam.

For over 2 decades now I have been lobbying governments to legalize this type of business mode, Conservative and NDP alike, to no avail.

As some winemakers grow older, have hip replacements, move into a condo… we believe there is a demand for such a service.

What we ask of you is simple. If you or someone you know would benefit from this type of service being available, let us know!

Send us and email to info@moonshiners.mb.ca

If you would like, include your name and postal code. Lets show the government that there are people out there who want and need such a service!
